Andy Murray paid tribute to Roger Federer, describing him as 'an amazing player' and his upcoming retirement as 'a sad, sad day' for tennis.

'It's incredible what he's achieved,' Murray said, speaking in Glasgow after Great Britain had been beaten by the Netherlands in the Davis Cup group phase. 'The way he played the game and conducted himself, all the players respected him for that.'
